Dusty heading on Playboy. Robert Lever, Texas heeling on Starlite.
Sugar Docs Playboy. AQHA 14 year old gelding. This is my #1 rodeo horse. He is a PRCA Heel horse and the 2009 Gold Card Finals Champion. He has been to the Bob Feist Invitational 6 times. He is a BFI Top 10 Finalist. The master of fast time wins and awards. No vices. (Freckles Playboy / Hobby Doc) Serious Only. $20,000. Will consider cash plus trade in of a broke cowhorse, reiner, or bumper pull trailer.
"Nina" Registered APHA 6 year old mare. (Docs Robert Duvall / Doc's Wombat / Mardelle Dixon / Macs Little Peppy) Nina is making a really nice heel horse.
She is as kind & gentle natured as she can be. This pretty 14.3 hand buttermilk buckskin is low headed and carries herself right. I brought her home with me last spring from Oklahoma. She has been a pleasure to train and to be around. I have hauled her to my schools and am roping on her at home. She is versatile. Take a look at this horse, rather you rope or not, or I advance her any farther than she is today, she is value & quality in every aspect. Plus, she is one of those "good mares." I will have Nina with me at the ACTRA Nationals in Reno. Watch for her in the Heel O Matic demonstrations. She is $8000.
I would like to thank my sponsors Weaver Leather and Cactus Saddlery for outfitting Nina at the ACTRA Nationals. Also thank you to Gilbert Williams, official flagger at the ACTRA National Finals for helping me with my horses. Gilbert does a great job.................dusty
She is shown here in her stall on a break between rounds.
"Starlite" AQHA 8 year old gelding. "Double Shot Peppy" I bought Starlite when he was four years old. I trained him. He has been a champion since day one. I have roped on him at major events including the Bob Feist Invitational, PRCA rodeos, and the Gold Cards. He is the 2010 Reno Rodeo Invitational / Perry Diloreto Roping Champion. (Ridden by Robert Lever of San Antonio, Tx.) This horse has earnings of over $100,000. Plus thousands in beautiful awards including a bronze sculpture from AQHA to honor the winningest American Quarter Horse at the 2010 Reno Rodeo Invitational. I have ridden him on the Rancheros Vistadores ride in Santa Barbara, CA. He is the model horse used in live, web cam, and public roping demonstrations as well as the Heel-O-Matic video. Starlite is very gentle and trustworthy. Suitable for a beginner rider to a World Class roper. (Grays Starlite / Smokum Oak / Peppy San Badger) $50,000.
"Starlite ridden by Robert Lever. Heading is Kenny Drake."
